Tired of linking Aadhaar to many documents? Well, it is all worth for many benefits with this 12-digit biometric number. It is especially true when it comes to withdraw or transfer your EPF balance. You just need to link your provident fund account with Aadhaar number. In order to link it, the Unique Account Number (UAN) should be seeded with Aadhaar. If you have UAN number, here are the steps to link your Provident Fund account to your Aadhaar. Step 1 – First of all, open the UAN member portal login Step 2 – Go to “UAN Member e-Sewa” and click on “For Employees”. Enter the UAN member login and password. Step 3 – At the top panel, click on “Manage” and then “KYC” Step 4 – under “Add KYC”, give your PAN, bank, and Aadhaar details on next page and submit. Once the details are submitted, you can get it under “Pending KYC” It may take around 15 days for an employer to approve it. It will be displayed under “Approved KYC”. It will be helpful in faster withdrawal and transfer by linking your Aadhar to PF account. It is the benefit of linking it. The current employer should have verified and approved the KYC along with your Aadhaar details. The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization has recently revamped both transfer and withdrawal processes. Automatic Transfer The employee is required to fill and submit the details to new employer when joining a new organization in the “Composite Declaration Form (F-11)”. It also asks for your last UAN apart from basic details, if any. When your current employer enters details in the employer’s portal, and once it is seeded with bank and Aadhaar details and verified, it will start the process of auto transfer. Withdrawal Once an employee leaves the job, they can withdraw the whole PF balance after 2 months of cool off period. You have to fill “Composite claim form (Aadhaar)” for claims in which the need of attestation of employers should be done away with. One has to meet certain conditions for faster claim process as specified by the EPFO, along with linking PF to your Aadhaar.
